Have you ever heard of recurring commission affiliate programs? Many bloggers struggle with finding the right vehicle to help them make a consistent 4, 5 or 6 figures every single month.
In fact, the difficulty could be finding the right WordPress theme, plugins, email marketing provider, domain name, web host or profitable niche market.
There are numerous courses available that teach the new blogger how to start a blog or better yet how to start a profitable blog.
The truth is that it is possible to make money online without a blog. However, your long-term goal should involve an exit strategy.
Will you be leaving the business as an inheritance for your offspring or do you plan to sell it on? So many things to consider when it comes to making money online.
The road to $100,000/month can be as simple as finding the best recurring commission affiliate programs.
In most cases what needs to happen is you and I, the entrepreneur, need to outline SMART goals using the best affiliate programs.
In this post, I will spend some time looking specifically at recurring commission affiliate programs.
I will cover what they are, why they are important and how you can benefit from them.
Disclosure: Please note that this post may contain affiliate links which means that if you buy one of my recommended products I get paid a commission for sharing the link at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products that I have tried myself and have experienced success.
Recurring Commission Affiliate Programs
Let’s spend some time looking at what recurring commission affiliate programs are for the blogger.
In a previous post, I looked at high paying affiliate programs in a lot of detail.
In case you missed it an affiliate program or affiliate marketing program is one in which a blogger like you or me decide to market someone else’s product or service in return for a commission payment.
One key factor that we are looking at in this post is that the commission is recurring rather than a one-off payment.
Recurring means that you can receive more than one payment for that one referral.
The beauty, in this case, is that it takes the same amount of marketing effort to bring in a one-off commission when compared to a recurring commission.
If you had a choice to be paid twice or three times compared to once for your efforts which one would you choose? Of course, you will choose more than once.
Let’s spend some time looking in more detail as to why this is important for a blogger.

Grab The Goal Setting Planner
This planner is great for you even if…
- You Suffer From Mom Guilt
- You May Behind on Everything
- You Are Feeling All Over the Place
- Focus on One Goal at a Time

Why Top Paying Affiliate Programs
If you have been blogging for 2-5 years you will understand the time and energy that it takes to continue to be a blogger day after day, month after month and year after year.
It can be exciting being a creator because you get to put your thoughts into words for others to read and comment as well as learn from you.
It also gives you the opportunity to add value to the lives of hundreds and even thousands of people all around the world. Your content is going where you have never been as a blogger.
What is more beneficial is that you find a way to cover the bills like web hosting, email marketing and other 3rd party tools and plugins.
It does take some time before you receive your first payment using the clever suggestions mentioned in the ‘monetise a blog‘ post.
Wouldn’t it be great to be rewarded for your efforts over and over again for many years into the future? This is where the whole idea of a recurring commission proves to be beneficial.
Which Recurring Commission Affiliate Programs
At this point, you are probably wondering which recurring commission affiliate programs qualify or fall into this special category.
Sometimes recurring commission affiliate programs are also called top paying affiliate programs because of the cumulative way that you get paid.
The truth is that some of them can be right under your nose while others are more difficult to pinpoint.
In fact, it really depends on the blogging niche that you have chosen.
Ever wondered what are the most profitable blog niches? You may be blogging in one of them check out this shortlist here.
For example, a fashion blogger will have a different set of recurring commission affiliate programs when compared to a food blogger or even a travel blogger.
The important thing is to sit down with a pen and paper and think of all the products and services that your audience will buy over and over again every month.
For a beauty blogger, it could be something like a subscription box or razors or even lipstick.
However, for beauty bloggers, these can be the very thing where their customers tend to change their brand every 3 months.
As a blogger, you need to put yourself in the shoes of your ideal client in order to really understand what they buy or use consistently every month or 6-8 weeks.

Longterm vs Short-term Recurring Commission
You probably sat down and thought about your ideal client or customer.
However, you became despondent because you just could not find anything that they will buy consistently for 12-36 months.
The best scenario is that your ideal client will sign up for a service and use it for 5 years but the reality is that this may not be the case.
Some programs are suitable for certain age groups or seasons of life or stage of business. Others are suitable for certain types of families or family phases.
For example, a person can change their car insurance every single year or every two years. Health insurance can be dependent on the family size or age range.
The trick is to have a handful of them available so that your ideal client will always come back to change, upgrade or downgrade through your website.
Having a good blend of short-term and long-term options available will help you achieve your business goals as well as add value to the lives of your readers.

As you can see I found 13 great recurring commission programs that offer the ability to earn a short to longterm recurring affiliate commission as a blogger.
SEMRush Affiliate Program
If you never heard about SEMRush before it is a great SEO tool that many marketers use to get their Search Engine Optimization right for the content on their blog.
It is by far one of the most expensive SEO tools on the market but it is extremely useful for a midsize company to help them keep track of their rankings in Google as well as spy on their competition.
This affiliate program is also considered one of the high ticket affiliate programs.
Siteground Affiliate Program
Siteground is a web hosting company that is great for beginner bloggers with small to medium websites. It is a very reputable company that treat bloggers like kings and queens.
You can sign up and become an affiliate here. Do remember that SiteGround is one of the top paying affiliate programs.
ConvertKit Affiliate Program
ConvertKit is known throughout the blogging world as the email marketing tool that is built for bloggers by bloggers.
Personally, I recommend them because I have used them and other competing tools.
I have to say that ConvertKit is one of the best email marketing tools that I have used over the last 10 years. You too can join their program here.
Envato Affiliate Program
Envato is very similar to Creative Market in that they offer every possible tool or resource that a blogger needs.
The cool thing about their program is that you pay one monthly price and get unlimited downloads.
You can choose from fonts, images (any size), workbooks, template and even presentation templates for both Powerpoint and Keynote. I was really surprised at the value.
They even offer WordPress themes and vectors. You can learn more about the program here.
MailChimp Affiliate Program
If you are on a tight budget but you need to start building your email list then you will love the fact that MailChimp gives you the option to have a free subscription up to 1,000 contacts.
It may not be as sophisticated as ConvertKit but it does give you the option of starting your email list for free. You can find out more about Mailchimp here.
Bluehost Affiliate Program
One of my very first web hosting companies was Bluehost. If you are on a very tight budget and the annual package from Siteground is not for you then you can give Bluehost a try.
It gives you everything you need to help you get your blog up and running and offers great lifetime affiliate programs.
Hostgator Affiliate Program
Hostgator is another one of the first hosting company I used to host my WordPress blog. I found them more efficient than Bluehost and they do have discounts every single month and season.
They are also slightly cheaper than Bluehost.
Grammarly Affiliate Program
One of my favourite tools as a writer and blogger is Grammarly because it helps me correct my Grammar and spelling so that I can focus on being creative.
My focus is on adding as much value as possible to my content for you my reader so I can put my heart and soul into what I write.
Grammarly can then stress over the formalities for me. You can sign up via Share a sale here.
LeadPages Affiliate
One essential tool that nearly every online marketer needs is the ability to create landing pages on the fly.
Did you know that not all landing pages are created equal?
Some of the best high converting landing pages on the planet can be found on LeadPages.
So this is one program that comes highly recommended because without sales you don’t have a business.
You can give your readers a free trial here. They also offer one of the top residual income affiliate programs.
GoDaddy Affiliate Program
One of the first places for me to purchase a domain name 10 years ago is via Godaddy. At one time I had over a dozen domain names because I was experimenting.
They do have great offers for the newbie blogger and their customer service is great. The downside is that by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year their prices are so much higher than the competition.
You can always purchase a domain at Godaddy in year one and move to a different provider in year two.
GetResponse Affiliate Program
Yet another email marketing program that I have used in the past and some marketers prefer to use it as it has several integrations that are suitable for medium-sized companies.
Depending on your reader’s requirements you can take a look at what is popular in your niche and make recommendations accordingly.
Woocommerce Affiliate Program
I personally use the Woocommerce plugin and it is easy to install on a WordPress site. It is especially great if the products you sell are simple.
If you or your readers have complex requirements for their products they may want to consider another solution like Shopify which you can access here.
Clickfunnels Affiliate Program
The next best highest converting landing pages on the market will have to be those from Clickfunnels.
In fact, seasoned marketers prefer Clickfunnels over LeadPages because it has more functionality.
Clickfunnels is also more expensive than Leadpages which is something to take into consideration.
If you are interested in Clickfunnels you can check them out here. It has great membership affiliate programs.

Journey From Zero to $100,000/Month – Plan A
Now that you have a fair idea as to the kind of recurring commission affiliate programs that are available you can sit down and map out a SMART goal.
You can be very specific and decide that your goal should be, for example, $110,000 a month. You can make it measurable by deciding what items make up that $110,000.
Siteground = $35,800.00/month
ConvertKit = $33,700.00/month
ThriveThemes = $12,900.00/month
LeadPages = $11,690.00/month
Envato = $5,090.00/month
Hostgator = $10,820/month
Let’s spend some time making this goal attainable and realistic.
For example, if your goal for Hostgator is to do $10,820/month and each customer is paying $9.95 per month for hosting.
If your commission is 30% then it works out at $2.98 per month commission payment then we take $10,820/month divided by $2.98 = 3,631.
So you need 3,631 customers to sign up over a 24 month period.
To make this SMART goal time-bound we can give ourselves 24 months to get to that goal. So you will need 151 new customers to sign up every month for Hostgator web hosting.
Siteground web hosting will be $35,800 divided by $14.95 = 2,558 customers to sign up. Over a 24 month period, you will need 106 new customers to sign up every month.
Journey From Zero to $100,000/Month – Plan B
If your blog is getting less than 10,000 pageviews a month right now you are probably thinking that there is no way you can get 151+ sign ups a month for any of these affiliate programs.
Let’s spend some time looking at an alternative plan and we’ll call it Plan B. This time we’ll take the path of least resistance and try to diversify our income as much as possible.
In Plan A we were relying on 6 programs to bring in 100k+ every month.
As for Plan B, we will look at 20-30 programs altogether. It will be harder to manage but it will be worth the effort.
- Beginners hosting program = $7,800.00/month
- Highly recommended email marketing = $6,700.00/month
- All in one theme, landing page and lead capture = $5,900.00/month
- LeadPages = $5,690.00/month
- Great package with themes, images and plugins = $5,090.00/month
- Another low-cost webhost = $4,820/month
- Low cost keyword research tool = $5,970.00/month
- Marketers prefer these landing pages = $4,670.00/month
- Beginners Pinterest Course = $4,780.00/month
- Advanced Pinterest Course = $3,987.00/month
- Beginner Freelancer Course = $3,709.00/month
- Freelance Writing Course = $4,690.00/month
- Automation tool for Pinterest = $4,320.00/month
- Image creation at a low monthly price = $3,950.00/month
- Social Media Pro Course = $5,490.00/month
- Untapped Niche Markets Course = $5,778.00/month
- Delicious plugin for your images = 4,490.00/month
- Facebook Ads Course = $6,789.00/month
- More advanced hosting package = $4,987.00/month
- Best Business Planner = $3,081.00/month
- Keyword research for professionals = $2,800.00/month
- Podcast Hosting = $2,309.00/month
- Beautiful images for bloggers = $2,000/month
As you can see with a bit of thinking outside the box I have managed to make the goals more attainable.
It is important to employ more strategies where each program can gain more exposure to potential buyers.
For Siteground we will need 557 customers to sign up by month 24 which works out at 23 new sign-ups every month. As you can see this is very realistic and attainable.
The key takeaway here is that it is possible to attain your goal of $100k+ a month in recurring commission affiliate programs and non-recurring income.
